Curriculum Overview
MyBnk October 23
Squirrels had a wonderful opportunity this week (Oct '23), learning about money and how to use it wisely and safely. They began the first of three workshops thinking about where money comes from and the kinds of ways in which we use money - whether from savings or from our current accounts. We also learnt some amazing facts about how much money is worth - did you know that the whole of England spends about 1.2 trillion pounds per year! To put it in perspective we found out it would take 32,000 YEARS to count in ones to 1.2 trillion! WOW!
PE
Our PE days are Wednesday and Thursday. Please ensure children have warm, PE clothes as we will be outside even when it is cold.
During autumn term the children will take part in Forest School on alternate Thursdays.
Children should wear their full school PE kit into school on our PE days. If the weather is totally unsuitable for outside PE we will have a fun, curriculum related indoor lesson instead.
Forest School
Autumn 1 - Alternate Thursday afternoons.
Please ensure children have warm Forest School clothing. This must include long sleeved tops and bottoms to protect themselves whilst in Forest School. They will need to have full waterproof clothing and wellington boots/waterproof boots in the event of wet weather.
Home learning
This will be sent home on a Friday to be returned on a Wednesday.
Home learning will consist of a maths and English piece of work, spelling practice and online games (Mathletics, Spelling Shed, Times Tables Rockstars) to support learning at home.
