Admissions

We host School Prospective Parents mornings in the Autumn Term. This provides the opportunity to meet and talk to current parents, staff and governors of the school. Please check the scrolling banner on our homepage or telephone the school office for the date of the next Prospective Parents’ Morning.

The Nursery Manager organises visits for prospective parents on monthly basis. Please contact the Nursery on 01932 875274 to make an appointment.

Parents and children are also welcome to come and visit the School at any other time. School office staff will show you round and then you can speak to the Headteacher who will answer any questions you may have. Please telephone to arrange a convenient time.

You can register your child for a place using a form available at the school office. It is best to enrol a child in the year before they are due to start school, or earlier if you wish. In the September of the year of your child’s fourth birthday you can register using the Surrey Admissions Scheme on line by selecting the ‘apply for it’ box (the link is listed below).

Being in a rural area, the School might admit children from beyond its immediate vicinity. Some of our children walk or cycle to school, those who come by car are able to park safely in the Church car park which is on the same side of the road as the School, a few minutes walk away.

Parents soon get to know one another in our small friendly community and may arrange to share the school run.

In June/July of the term prior to children starting school officially, we run a series of “School Taster Sessions”. Parents and children who will join us in September spend time in their new class with their teacher and teaching assistants.

Our small and approachable nature puts us in the unique position of being able to get to know children really well and cater effectively for individual needs through discussion with parents.

Each child and their parents is offered a meeting with their child’s Class Teacher and Teaching Assistant before they start school, this helps everyone to get to know each other.
