Weekly Overview 21.6.21
The Badgers have made a great start to this half term. We started the term with our Mystery box week where we found some feathers and did lots of learning about nests and different birds. We also enjoyed meeting the athlete and learning about how he became a long jumper. In Music we have enjoyed writing and reading our own compositions using the glockenspiel and learning how to play the Ukuele.
Week 2 Weekly Overview
Summer 2 Termly and Week 1 Curriculum Overview
We've had a very busy 2 weeks of learning 4th-14th May. We have enjoyed learning how to measure in metres using metre sticks. Exploring parts of the plants around our school grounds, making our own Indian food in DT, creating some of our own compositions using percussion instruments linked to the story Lila and the Secret of the Rain and finally developing our Football skills in PE. The children have showed fantastic teamwork during our cooking activities and such determination when measuring, working together to measure accurately.
Year 2 Suggested Book Lists
We have had a busy first two weeks back, using lots of food to help us understand fractions. We enjoyed learning outside in Science finding out about common trees and plants. In English we have been doing some acting pretending to be the crayons from the story and learning about different kinds of conjunctions.
